Do you want to work with strategic and commercial procurement in a high-tech and international environment? We are now looking for a strategic procurement manager for a consulting assignment with our client in Linköping. You will have a central role in indirect procurement and will be responsible for the entire commercial process – from requests for quotations and negotiations to contracts, supplier development, and follow-up. You will be part of a newly established procurement department with approximately ten colleagues working in strategic procurement and supplier development. About the Assignment As a strategic procurement manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and commercial management of indirect procurement. The procurement portfolio includes goods and services that are not directly linked to the end product, such as production supplies, production equipment, and related services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. An important part of the role is to develop and manage supplier relationships with a focus on competitiveness, quality, compliance, and long-term value creation. Your main responsibilities are to: Develop and implement procurement strategies within defined areas. Prepare and send requests for quotations and evaluate received bids. Negotiate commercial terms and sign, develop, and manage supplier contracts. Monitor and analyze suppliers' performance in terms of cost, lead time, quality, and delivery capability. Develop existing supplier collaborations to create a competitive and cost-effective supplier base. Conduct cost analyses and continuously identify savings opportunities. Lead supplier teams and drive work together with different parts of the organization. Work from a clear business value perspective and analyze total cost over the entire life cycle. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone with several years of experience in strategic and commercial procurement who is used to independently driving procurement processes. You have a clear business focus, strong analytical skills, and thrive in a role with many contact points. To be relevant for this assignment, you need to: Have 3–7 years of relevant work experience. Have relevant academic education in procurement, logistics, or economics, or alternatively other relevant education or equivalent work experience. Have experience in strategic and commercial procurement work. Have several years of experience in commercial assessments and development of strategic business relationships. Be able to understand and analyze total cost from a life cycle perspective. Have good negotiation experience, including experience negotiating in international environments. Have experience building and developing long-term supplier relationships. Be able to work in a structured manner, lead supplier teams, and collaborate across functions. Have strong ability to lead and drive work forward. Have excellent collaboration, communication, and networking skills. Easily absorb, apply, and share new knowledge. Express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, we believe you are business-minded, analytical, and solution-oriented.
