We are now seeking a strategist at the corporate office who drives development initiatives within the master data area and creates conditions for strategic and sustainable master data management for the benefit of Västra Götalandsregionen's decision-makers and operations. Your Assignment We are looking for a driven and experienced strategist in master data who will lead and develop Västra Götalandsregionen's master data management. The master data area is part of information governance through Enterprise Information Management (EIM). In this role, you will work strategically, tactically, and operatively to ensure VGR's master data management long-term. You collaborate with VGR's administrations and companies to build structures for information and data management. Your main areas of responsibility include ensuring that master data is created, updated, and maintained with good data quality. You will establish strategies, procedures, and regulations for how master data can be interconnected, and ensure that information and data structures from different data sources can be used together for monitoring and decision support. You will convene various regional working groups. You will set requirements for how master data is handled in the region's digitalization efforts. To succeed in this role, you need experience in how data and information are governed and managed, as well as how to ensure high data quality. You should have analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets. We are looking for someone who can see both the big picture and details while being meticulous. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. The ability to package and convey information about master data to different audiences is central to this position. The candidate we are seeking has a solid understanding of master data from an operational perspective. In this role, it is important to be independent with the ability to drive development and change initiatives forward. What Can We Offer You? We offer an exciting assignment in an area that is under development. You will be placed in a strategic department at the corporate office and report to the director of the office. The unit focuses on development issues related to VGR's management systems, process work, and enterprise-wide information management. Your assignment will be enterprise-wide in nature, working with colleagues across VGR and potentially at the national level in the future. We are looking for someone with an academic degree, at least at the bachelor's level. You may have a degree in, for example, information technology/data science or another academic education where you have acquired relevant knowledge within the master data field. You should have documented several years of experience working with master data. Meritorious: work experience from a public organization, good technical understanding, interest in information and data management, and understanding of enterprise architecture.
