Experience required

The Swedish Church in Örebro works with social sustainability by offering internships, work training, and development positions in various parts of the organization. We are now seeking a strategist to coordinate and develop this work. The position has two main areas of responsibility, with one part based at Nikolai Parish and the other covering the entire Örebro Pastorate. At Nikolai Parish, the primary task is to develop activities in and around Café Nikolai – a MARY café in central Örebro. This work is done in a team with other colleagues. The role also includes group activities in the evenings as well as recruitment and coordination of volunteers for, for example, church coffee and larger events. The second part of the position involves working with the pastorate's parishes and units to oversee internship placements and work training. This includes coordinating supervisor training, collaborating to optimize workplaces for receiving interns, and mentoring people who mentor others. This part involves many contacts with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, Public Employment Service, the Probation Service, and other stakeholders. As an applicant, you must be a member of the Swedish Church. Experience of engagement in the Swedish Church is highly valued. We would prefer candidates who are educated as social workers, personnel specialists, educators, deacons, or have other relevant academic qualifications. The position requires good collaboration skills and networking ability. Other necessary competencies include an outward-focused and structured work approach, good computer skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently. The position involves some travel, so a Category B driver's license is desirable. The parish offers you a creative, development-focused, and courageous team – in the city center within a pastorate with resources and solid finances. The pastorate invests in health promotion measures and provides opportunities for professional development as well as flexibility to balance work and personal life. Questions about the position are answered by Parish Minister Kalle Bengtz 019-15 45 12 or Head of Parish Activities Magdalena Gustafsson, 019-15 46 02. Applications for the position must be submitted by 2026-09-30 by clicking the application link below. There you can easily attach a cover letter and CV. We only process applications submitted via this link. Interviews will be held on October 5 and 9. Start date to be agreed upon. Welcome to apply!
