Job Responsibilities We are seeking two support educators for BoDa Spejarestigen! The facility is expected to open in April 2027. The support educators are planned to start in January 2027, giving you the opportunity to be part of building the facility's routines and working methods before launch. The BoDa unit consists of two residential houses with three residents in each house, plus a separate building for daytime activities. The target group for the facility includes people with autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behavior. As support educators, you will have an important role in shaping and developing the facility from the ground up. You will work both operationally and systematically to establish routines, implement working methods, and contribute to a safe environment for both service users and staff. Direct work with service users forms a significant part of the position. In this role, you will support the facility's support assistants on matters related to methods, routines, and social documentation. You will guide and reflect on attitudes and professional approaches. You will also contribute to developing individually tailored methods that promote service user participation and independence. The role includes working with the facility's quality monitoring and quality development. You will become part of a network with other support educators in the area and receive support from methodology developers in work related to quality and methods. We offer an exciting and developmental assignment where you, in close collaboration with the unit manager and engaged colleagues, will have the opportunity to influence and build a completely new facility. Initially, working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. When the facility opens, working hours will include day, evening, and weekend shifts. Qualifications We are looking for someone with education as a support educator or social educator, or alternatively a post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test administrator Educateit. It is a requirement that you have experience working with autism spectrum and challenging behavior, and that you have knowledge and experience with LAB, MI, and AAC. You need to have experience working in residential care settings and daytime activities. You also need to have good knowledge of IBIC and be comfortable using various IT systems. It is an advantage if you have been involved in starting up a new unit previously and have knowledge/experience of Studio 3 and/or Durewall. You are calm and secure in stressful and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without being dependent on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward. You plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient manner. Other Information Selection and interviews will begin during the application period. When you apply, you will describe your knowledge and experience by answering questions instead of submitting a personal letter. Also attach certificates of study or diplomas with your application.
