We are now seeking a support pedagogue for Solgläntan who wants to help develop our operations further! Solgläntan is a group home within LSS where six young adults live. We are looking for someone who has the ability to professionally meet people based on their individual circumstances and needs. Someone who is confident in finding new working methods to create a clear and predictable daily life for the individual. If you also enjoy a physically active and varied daily routine, you've come to the right place. As a support pedagogue, you have a special responsibility for the pedagogical work in the facility. You combine daily support to the individual with an overall responsibility for developing, ensuring quality of, and following up on working methods and practices. You work closely with the unit manager, support assistants, and the individual's network to create the best conditions for each person. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS In your role as support pedagogue, you work to support users in their daily lives. The work includes, among other things, support with structure, social contacts, leisure activities, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and planning and guidance focused on forward development based on the individual's needs and skills. An important part of the work is motivational work focused on strengthening the user's belief in their own abilities. The goal is to provide conditions for an independent, meaningful, and developmental life. In your role as support pedagogue, you are a contact person for some of the users, which means you have contact with, for example, their legal guardian, are responsible for implementation plans, and participate in meetings with the individual's network. As a support pedagogue, you are an important part of the facility's development. In this role, you mentor and support colleagues on pedagogical matters and contribute to reflection and development within the work group. You are responsible for developing and following up on implementation plans, action plans, and job descriptions, and you lead facility meetings focused on pedagogical work and the facility's development. Communication is an important part of the work. We use clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approaches to create structure, safety, and understanding. This means you meet the individual calmly and respectfully, take responsibility for the situation, and together with colleagues find solutions that work in the long term. The work involves service during day, evening, weekends, and on-call nights according to schedule. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with post-secondary education as a support pedagogue with specialization in the disability field of at least 200 vocational university credits, 120 university credits, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Other requirements: · Two years of experience working with people with neuropsychiatric disabilities · Two years of experience with challenging behavior and work with low-arousal approaches (LAB) · Good knowledge of social documentation and experience in developing, following up, and updating implementation plans · Good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy · Good knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) - specifically sign support (TAKK) Meritorious: · Training or experience in motivational interviewing (MI) · Training in soft self-defense, such as Durewall, Studio III · Driver's license with Category B (manual transmission) As a person, you are pedagogical, confident, clear, and structured, and have the ability to manage situations that may arise in the work. You take responsibility for both the facility, the individual, and the practical tasks that are part of the role. At the same time, you are responsive to the individual's needs and can adapt your approach based on the situation and the person. You contribute to good cooperation with your colleagues and have a professional and respectful approach to everyone you meet in your work. We would also like to see that you have an interest in exercise, physical activity, and movement, and use this as a natural part of creating an active and meaningful daily life.
