We are now seeking a support pedagogue for Finlandsvägen, which is a residential facility with special services for adults. The facility is located in Tuve on Hisingen, has capacity for 13 residents, and focuses on psychiatric care. Job Responsibilities As a support pedagogue, you will have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work within the activity. Your role is to gather and disseminate knowledge about working methods and approaches, and ensure that these are used and developed effectively. Together with the work team, you will establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. This way, we all become better at understanding the residents' needs and providing appropriate support. You will also train and guide your colleagues in interaction and methods. As part of the staff team, you will support residents in their home environment both independently and together with colleagues, contributing to the best and most independent life possible. The work includes conducting leisure activities both at and outside the facility, carrying out health and care services by delegation, collaborating in the professional network around the resident, and providing support with cooking, laundry, cleaning, and personal hygiene. You will work according to a schedule with working hours distributed across day, evening, and weekends. We plan scheduling in TimeCare. Qualifications The position as support pedagogue requires post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 YH credits or 120 higher education credits. Alternatively, at least 60 higher education credits combined with two years of experience working with people with disabilities are required. The education must include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and/or psychiatric care. Other education that the employer deems equivalent may also be accepted. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires you to have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet this qualification requirement, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. At least one year of experience working with comorbidity and substance abuse issues is required. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of behavioral science. We also consider it meritorious if you have experience with low-affect interaction and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). You are clear in your professional role and act professionally in situations where others question you or make unreasonable demands. - plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently.
