Department Description
The Functional Support Department provides support and services to children, youth, and adults with disabilities. We work based on LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the Social Services Act to strengthen individuals' independence, security, and participation. The Functional Support Department makes a real difference in people's everyday lives and creates the conditions for an independent and meaningful life for everyone.
Job Responsibilities
Support and Services is an LSS residential facility where residents live in their own apartments and, instead of around-the-clock on-site care, support is planned as specific interventions together with the residents. The job responsibilities include assisting residents in daily tasks such as meal preparation, shopping, household maintenance, leisure activities, etc. The work team is flexible and adjusts work when needs change. Every 6 weeks there is a Team Meeting where staff, Unit Manager, nurse, and pedagogical team collaborate. The approach is low-affect interaction and AAC/picture support is used in daily work.
The role also includes assignments as a contact person where you, together with the resident, other professionals, and representatives, establish/follow up and work based on the resident's implementation plan. The department uses the documentation system Pulsen Combine.
