Opaltorget is a residential facility with specialized services focused on mental health and neuropsychiatric disabilities. We are seeking two support assistants for our residential facility. We offer the opportunity to develop and shape our operations together with us. At Opaltorget, eight support assistants, a methodology supervisor, and a unit manager currently work together. About the Job As a support assistant, you will center the individual's needs, abilities, and interests, supporting residents in their daily lives and in their right to self-determination. You work creatively and innovatively with motivation to promote the development of the resident's own resources. Together with residents, you work to provide the best possible conditions for an independent life with high quality of life. You work based on individually developed implementation plans. We will use the methods An Independent Life (ESL), Motivational Interviewing (MI), low-arousal approach (LAB), and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AKK). The work includes social documentation and collaboration with both internal and external parties who are key persons in the resident's life. We want to create teams where employees' strengths are utilized appropriately and contribute to a work environment with a relaxed atmosphere and solution-focused discussions. Work will be scheduled for days, evenings, and three out of six weekends. We use Multiaccess for scheduling and work with collaboration time. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Service Program, Support Assistant training, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 yh-points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have previous experience working as a support assistant and experience in psychiatry and neuropsychiatry. It is necessary that you have experience and knowledge of ESL, MI, AKK, and low-arousal approach and are accustomed to working creatively. If you have a driver's license, we see that as a positive since we have access to a vehicle for our activities. You need to be able to use our IT systems and maintain documentation. You must therefore have proficiency in Swedish both spoken and written, which requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered a language test through the test administrator Educateit.
