Ref: 20262089 Job Responsibilities Your role is to support, activate, and guide individuals during their stay. Together with other staff, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating the activities. The overall goal is to keep the user's needs at the center and to continuously adapt the content so that it is meaningful for them. You will help create conditions for users' stays through activities and opportunities for social contact. As a support assistant, it is your responsibility to fulfill the goals in the LSS plan regarding self-determination, participation, and integrity for each individual user. You will perform daily and planned support services based on the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS. Examples of tools for this include the creation of implementation plans, other documentation, and evidence-based methods. You should contribute to creating a meaningful and safe stay where the activities are shaped according to the users' specific strengths, interests, and needs. Care work occurs. Qualifications We are looking for you with a vocational degree from a care and health program, child and leisure program, or other equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. You need to have at least one year of experience with LSS and have worked with people with autism and/or structured teaching methods. Class B driver's license for manual transmission is required. Experience with Social documentation and MarteMeo and previous work with children with disabilities is meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. In this position you will support young people with disabilities who show high sensitivity and therefore place high demands on your ability to listen to their needs in order for them to feel well. You should therefore have a low-affect approach and understand challenging behavior. About the Workplace The residential home is aimed at children and young people who have been granted permanent housing according to LSS §9:8; all users have the diagnosis of autism, and challenging behavior occurs in daily work. Users have varying needs, interests, and wishes. The services and activities are guided by the needs and are carried out individually with each user or together with other users in groups. In the Department of Functional Support, more than 3,000 employees work together to create and develop even better support and services for people with disabilities. Our operations are within LSS, social psychiatry, personal assistance, escort services, respite care, and health and medical care.
