Job Duties We are now recruiting support assistants to Hallegatan's BmSS and Åbogården's BmSS in central Hisingen! We are looking for staff members for two group homes focused on elderly psychiatry and comorbidity. The facilities are located in the same building and work closely together. You will be employed by one of the facilities and work based on each resident's individual needs and implementation plan. The work involves providing support, motivation, and care in daily life. This can include, for example, creating structure in everyday routines, maintaining habits, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and providing support with personal hygiene. You will also perform medical interventions on delegation from a nurse or rehabilitation staff and support residents in meaningful activities and leisure time. For us, meals are an important part of daily life. We cook from scratch in our shared kitchens, in consultation with residents and based on their individual preferences and needs. We therefore appreciate if you have an interest in cooking and can contribute to creating pleasant and meaningful meal situations. The assignment includes social documentation, such as writing summaries and establishing, following up, and revising implementation plans according to IBIC. Documentation is an important part of ensuring quality and continuity in residents' services. Together with your colleagues, you create a safe, stimulating, and homely environment for residents. The work may involve some exposure to passive smoking and pets. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant education, or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant coursework in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education the employer considers equivalent. Very good Swedish language skills in speech and writing are required; you need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the Swedish language qualifications, you may be offered to take a language test through test provider Educateit.
