The Social Services Department of Askersund Municipality is responsible for elderly care, LSS and care activities, social psychiatry, activities for unaccompanied refugee children, and individual and family care. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you passionate about working with people and want to provide our residents with the conditions for as independent and meaningful a life as possible? We are now looking for a dedicated support assistant for our LSS group home Ekbacken, located near Askersund city center. As a support assistant with us, you support people with physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities in their daily lives. The work is based on the individual's needs and is based on implementation plans, routines, and action plans. Your main tasks: • Create independence: Give residents support for influence and participation in their own lives and in the activities' content (e.g. through user councils). • Educational work: Apply low-affect interaction and clarifying pedagogy in daily contact. • Documentation: Create and follow up implementation plans and document in our activity system Lifecare to ensure quality in our work. QUALIFICATIONS • Education: Relevant education from the Healthcare Program or Children's and Recreation Program (preferably with a focus on disability or social/educational work). • Communication: Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as the work requires clear communication with residents and careful documentation. • Interest & interaction: A genuine interest in working with people in need of support. Your interaction is the most important thing you have in this role. • Health & Physical fitness: The work is physically demanding so you need to have good basic physical fitness. The position requires a B-class driver's license. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Merits: • Experience working with low-affect interaction and clarifying pedagogy. • Experience with documentation in Lifecare (or similar activity systems) and good familiarity with digital tools. • Experience creating and working from implementation plans.
