With us, you can make a real difference and contribute to making Linköping a better place. Welcome to us! Your Work Tasks As a support assistant, your task is to support workers in their daily work through a pedagogical approach and low-arousal interactions. We create individual schedules, checklists, and plans in the work to support the worker's own abilities. As a support assistant, you are responsible for pedagogical support in the group and work toward maintaining good structure in the workplace. We document in Treserva and write implementation plans according to IBIC. The goal is to offer employment that, based on the individual's abilities and wishes, boosts self-esteem and increases confidence. The pedagogical work is characterized by working to strengthen the individual's participation and independence to the greatest extent possible. For us, it is important to maintain high quality in our operations, which is why we invest in further training all permanent employees in pedagogical work approaches and methods that permeate the entire operation. We also work with TSS (signs as support) and low-arousal interactions (LAB). Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday. Your base employment is within daily activities and your current placement will be at Sensum, but this may change based on changing organizational needs. Your Workplace Daily activities serve people with disabilities who need support (which may include care) or guidance at work and who have an LSS decision. We run about thirty daily activity centers with many different focuses. Together we create good days with our users. Within daily activities, support assistants, support pedagogues, adult pedagogues, and development leaders work together. We work as a team and prioritize the user's best interests. Sensum is a daily activity center located in Valla with six workers/users with physical variations and disabilities. Most workers are at an early developmental level and therefore have a significant need for staff support. Our goal is to provide workers with a rich and stimulating workday. We work with music, art, and outdoor activities. We have close proximity to Händelseriket, where we visit different sensory stimulation rooms several times a week. The surrounding area also includes Vallaskogen with beautiful environments for walks. The work team consists of three support assistants and one support pedagogue. There are also resources such as a development leader and expert in pedagogical methods who provide support in development work. About You We are looking for someone who has completed a care and nursing program, children and leisure program, or has other education deemed equivalent. You need to have previous experience in support, care, and nursing. If you also have experience working within daily activities or with people with intellectual or physical disabilities, this is considered an asset. It is also an asset if you have experience with documentation and record-keeping and working according to IBIC. It is desirable that you have knowledge of pedagogical working methods and alternative augmentative communication, such as signs as support, as there are participants who do not have verbal communication. The work involves contact and documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. Good computer skills are required as documentation takes place in digital systems. To thrive in the role, you need to be good at collaboration and attentive to both the worker's and your colleagues' needs. You are empathetic and have the ability to meet people based on their individual needs and perspectives. You are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, and you have the willingness and ability to help others. Other Information You apply with e-ID. Do you lack e-ID?
