Job Responsibilities We are now recruiting a support assistant for Sägengatan Daily Activities on Hisingen! Sägengatan is a sign language-focused unit since several participants have sign language as their native language. We also have participants who communicate through spoken language. The unit consists of three support assistants and pedagogical support from a support pedagogue. Sägengatan is a service-oriented activity center with activities including gardening, recycling, litter picking, baking, and creative work. The unit also performs farm tasks at a nearby rural farm and participates in service-oriented projects in collaboration with other activities. There are great opportunities to be involved in developing the activities further. We work to ensure that everyone is included based on their resources, interests, and needs. In your role, you will be responsible as a contact person for documenting, establishing, and following up on implementation plans, routines, and manuals. Together with the unit manager, support pedagogue, and work team, you will plan and develop the activities based on needs and resources. This position is a temporary assignment extending until 2027-08-18. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from a Care and Health Program, support assistant education, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field encompassing at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time terms of study. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You must have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements, you may be offered a language test through test provider Educateit. For this position, it is also a requirement that you have knowledge of sign language and experience working with people with disabilities. You also need experience and competence with systems such as Treserva and competence in social documentation. It is meritorious if you have experience working in daily activities and experience working with people with NPF diagnoses. Beyond this, we consider it meritorious if you have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), clarifying pedagogy, motivational interviewing (MI), and low-arousal approach (LAB). The position requires good physical capability as work tasks may include physical work and longer walks. You take responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks. You think about those we serve and their best interests. You do your best to complete all work tasks correctly and follow up on results.
