About the Assignment As a support assistant in residential support, you'll work with people with various functional variations – primarily within psychiatry and neuropsychiatric disabilities. The work may also involve substance abuse issues and comorbidity. Your task is to support each individual based on their needs and circumstances – always with the goal of strengthening independence in daily life. The temporary position extends over 4 months with the possibility of extension. Your Role With us, no two days are the same. You work both practically and relationally, motivating and supporting users pedagogically to find strategies and routines that work in everyday life. Work takes place in the user's home according to the implementation plan, and may involve support ranging from social and physical activities to structure in daily life, contact with authorities, and practical tasks such as shopping and cleaning. Breaking isolation through meaningful activities is an important part of the assignment. How We Work Residential support operates in a mobile manner, where documentation and scheduling are handled digitally. Sometimes we provide digital services, which means you should be comfortable using IT support in your daily work. You are responsible for social documentation, including implementation plans and summaries, which requires a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing. About You We are looking for you who have a degree from a Care and Health Program, support assistant training, or Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You need experience working with people in psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, or similar target groups, and good knowledge of social services processes and work based on IBIC. Previous experience in residential support is a merit. You must master Swedish language in speech and writing, which requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you don't meet these language requirements, you may be offered a language test through Educateit. You also have experience with pedagogical methods such as MI and ESL. As a person, you have a strong ability to work independently and in an organized manner, have good judgment, and a genuine interest in development. You are self-confident, find collaboration easy, and approach change with a positive and solution-focused attitude. Work is scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
