Job Responsibilities We are looking for someone who wants to develop in their role as a support assistant in a team with experienced colleagues. Your main task as a support assistant is to provide individualized educational support that contributes to a meaningful, independent and developmentally enriching life in accordance with LSS. As well as creating a calm and secure environment for the young person at the residence. Communication and cognitive support are areas we actively work with and we consistently use proven pedagogical methods such as clarity-focused pedagogy, low-arousal approaches and alternative and augmentative communication to create understanding and predictability. Working with a low-arousal approach means that we take responsibility for the situation by evaluating what happened and what may have led to the situation, in order to find solutions moving forward. We place great emphasis on young people, through maximum participation and support, being able to influence their own daily lives and we work with customized solutions for the individual, whether it concerns leisure activities, cognitive understanding or the individual's interests. It is important that you check the commute before applying. You will work on a varied schedule with day shifts from 7 a.m., evening shifts until 9 p.m., overnight on-call shifts and 2 weekends out of 4. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social and educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have a specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 university credits or 60 university credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The courses should be within behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer considers equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through test provider Educateit. It is a requirement that you have at least two years of experience working with people with neuropsychiatric disabilities. Furthermore, we also see that you have experience with LAB (low-arousal approaches), AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) and have very good knowledge in social documentation.
