At Villa Stinsens group home, 6 people with various disabilities live together. The need for support and care services is substantial and available around the clock. Work is guided by the residents' needs, wishes, and their ability to manage daily activities. We work with implementation plans and risk assessments, and we focus on individualizing support for residents, creating participation, and working toward goals based on residents' wishes and needs. A prerequisite for ensuring good living conditions is having good knowledge of the residents. Within the operation, it is important to have competence regarding people in need of special support and services as well as disabilities. JOB DUTIES As a support assistant with us, you will be part of a team that helps and supports the residents at Villa Stinsen to thrive and develop by providing individual support and engagement in their daily lives. Your duties as a support assistant include ensuring that routines are followed and providing support and guidance to colleagues in daily work both within the facility and at our external workplaces. We actively promote meaningful leisure time, so participating in residents' recreational activities is part of your duties. As a support assistant, you follow our shared goals and implementation plans and document in our systems. Your work includes collaboration with management, workplaces, other colleagues, residents, healthcare personnel, and other important contacts for the person. As a support assistant with us, your duties consist of building a trusting relationship with the residents, and with respect for their right to self-determination and integrity, supporting them in the areas of their lives where they struggle to manage on their own. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone who has: • Current experience working at group homes within LSS. • Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. • Relevant education, such as support assistant or nursing assistant, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. • Experience working with people with disabilities and autism and/or experience working at an LSS group home. It is a merit if you have completed Special Education 1 & 2. We're looking for someone who is collaborative, unpretentious, and solution-focused, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships. You demonstrate great commitment to both the residents and the operation, have excellent collaboration skills, and can work independently when needed. You take personal responsibility, are secure and stable in challenging situations, and convey a sense of safety. With courage and professionalism, you express your opinion, even when it differs from others', while always considering the best interests of the entire operation and remain flexible yet clear in your approach and manner.
