About the Job Förskolevägens boende with special services is located at the beautiful Askimsviken, close to beach, sea and nature. Here live 10 people aged 31 to 56 with individual and varying support needs. The target group we work with is people with intellectual disabilities and autism. They live in their own apartments with access to shared spaces. The residents are active in various ways such as sports, training, church, swimming and various events where you play an important role. Now we are looking for you who are interested in meaningful work where you support people in their daily living and make it possible for them to have a meaningful existence. We offer stimulating work where you, together with the unit manager, two educators and the work team, participate in planning and developing the activities. In your role as support assistant, you will work with varying tasks such as providing educational support in daily life and facilitating participation in community life and leisure activities. Personal care and support at home such as laundry, cleaning and cooking are carried out as much as possible together with the residents. You work in a motivating way and create conditions for structure, participation and self-determination based on each person's abilities. You will be a contact person for a resident. This means maintaining contact with next of kin and other networks and actively working to follow up implementation plans and to maintain ongoing documentation, which is done with the resident's participation. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings and every other weekend according to the roster. At Förskolevägens boende, you join a work team with positive and committed colleagues. About You We are looking for you who have a degree from the Care and Health program, support assistant training or Children and Leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field covering at least 200 yh-points, 120 higher education credits or a combination equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Communication and documentation are important parts of the work, which requires that you have good skills in Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through test provider Educateit. You need to have work experience in the disability field and experience working with people who have autistic traits. Since several residents use visual support, it is also desirable that you have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC). It is also a merit if you have experience with the following methods: MI (Motivational Interviewing) IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus) Signs as Support Clarifying Pedagogy LAB (Low Arousal Approach) ESL (An Independent Life) You take responsibility for your own and shared work tasks with the operation's/users' best interests in focus. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You easily adapt and adjust your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. You have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and reach goals.
