About the Position As an employee of the Sterilization Unit, you will work together with your colleagues to ensure we deliver safe and high-quality sterile products to our internal and external customers within Region Halland. We are now seeking a new team member due to a retirement. About the Workplace The Sterilization Unit is part of the Operations and Intensive Care Clinic in Varberg. The unit consists of three service points located in Varberg, Halmstad, and Kungsbacka. Our team in Varberg is a great group of sterilization technicians and nursing assistants. We staff the unit during day, evening, weekends, and night shifts. This position involves working day, evening, and weekend shifts with a fixed rotating schedule. Your introduction will be tailored to you and your previous experience. The unit's primary mission is to deliver sterile and/or disinfected products to our customers within Region Halland as well as to our private customers. Although we don't meet patients in our daily work, we always maintain a patient focus. We work in the traceability system T-Doc. Main Responsibilities: • Receiving and cleaning instruments • Packaging, functional testing, and sterilization of instruments • Post-sterilization checks and documentation review • Preparing deliveries for customers About You We are looking for someone who is trained as a sterilization technician or nursing assistant. Previous experience working in sterilization operations is considered an advantage. At work, you are part of a team, so it is important that you have strong teamwork skills, while also taking responsibility for your part of the whole and understanding the importance of our workflows. As a person, you are calm and accommodating in your interactions. You organize and prioritize work efficiently while being thorough and meeting the unit's quality standards. We also value that you are comfortable with computers and appreciate if you have a technical interest. Good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement.
