F 16 is responsible for Uppsala garrison and the operation of Uppsala airport. The squadron is also responsible for monitoring Swedish airspace 24/7, year-round, and commands the Swedish Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, Garrison Company, and Training Company, which together create the conditions for assigned units to focus on their main mission. The Battalion's role and tasks are developing rapidly to meet the new challenges that Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces face. As a staff assistant, you will have a key role in the battalion. Your days will be varied, where you will get to try new things and develop both professionally and as an individual. 163. Garrison Battalion and its companies are coordinating units within the garrison, which means you will have the opportunity to build an extensive network both within and outside the unit. Main Responsibilities We are now looking for you to work as a staff assistant at Garrison Battalion, where you will provide administrative support to different parts of the battalion. The operations work according to different directives, timelines, and varying tasks. You will work closely with current staff assistants and together you will create a team that supports and facilitates the battalion and its employees. The battalion consists of all aspects of the military profession; officers, soldiers, and civilians. Examples of tasks: Support the staff and its various functions with administration and follow-up Administrative and physical support for visits and events at the garrison Monitor the functional mailbox by responding to and handling emails and shared calendars Coordination of documentation according to applicable rules and procedures Planning and follow-up of meetings, reports, and matters Editor of the intranet Emilia (SharePoint) Be part of the battalion's ceremony force, security watch assignments, guard duty, and transport force depending on training and competencies Within the Swedish Armed Forces, we always work as a team.
