Primary Care West is a base unit with four health centers in both urban and rural areas, distributed across four municipalities: Vindeln, Vännäs, Bjurholm, and Umeå. The health centers work closely together within the base unit. Good connections with local and regional transportation enable commuting to, from, and between our facilities. We are now seeking an ST Doctor for our base unit with current placement at Backens Health Center. The role as district doctor at Backens Health Center offers an exciting and varied assignment for you as a specialist in general medicine. We have several colleagues who conduct clinical research in collaboration with Umeå University. Together with other health centers, we staff the primary care emergency duty at Primary Care Emergency, NUS. 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As an ST Doctor with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. The specialty of general medicine is characterized by meeting the patient throughout life. As an ST Doctor, you will meet people of all ages with all kinds of health-related problems, independently assess and treat these, as well as experiences and complaints not caused by a definable disease. In general medical specialty work, an individual's various health problems are followed over time, and in assessing health problems, the person's entire life situation must be weighed. You are an active participant in the doctor team and collaborate with other professional groups. At Backens Health Center, we have a clinical teaching clinic where you as an ST Doctor help supervise medical students. Your ST employment includes on-call service. Beyond the specialty-specific program, you as an ST Doctor also participate in EKA training. A program focusing on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for ST Doctors within Region Västerbotten. QUALIFICATIONS You have Swedish medical licensure with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare by the start date. You have an interest in specializing in general medicine. We require good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1. You should be interested in participating in business development and be prepared to take personal responsibility in various matters. Personal qualities highly valued are good communication skills, good collaboration skills, and flexibility in work. Consideration is given to personal suitability and collaboration skills.
