The section is part of the operational area (VO) for acute and internal medicine, which is the largest at Lasarettet in Ystad. Within the section is the Acute Care Unit, which is staffed by emergency physicians and where ST physicians serve as part of their specialty training. Lasarettet in Ystad is the welcoming acute hospital characterized by openness and community. We have short contact paths and a closeness to each other that makes collaboration easy. At the hospital we have operations around the clock and a broad range of specialized care. We provide both acute and planned healthcare with care for every patient. WORK DUTIES At the emergency department in Ystad, you will care for children and adults of all ages with a broad range of diseases and conditions. Work is conducted around the clock and on all days of the week. When working at our emergency department, specialists in emergency medicine are available on-site for supervision, and during on-call hours a senior colleague is present. Service also takes place at the Acute Care Unit. The position is based in Ystad, but side assignments may occur at other facilities within Region Skåne. QUALIFICATIONS You who apply are a licensed physician with authorization to work within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at minimum corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement for the position, as well as approved general service (AT) or basic service (BT). It is meritorious if you have work experience within emergency medicine as well as relevant research. As a person, we see that you have an interest in the field and are curious and can take own initiatives according to your ability. You have high social competence and see it as self-evident to treat your patients in the best way. Furthermore, you collaborate easily, are flexible, and have good communication skills.
