About the Position As a mechanic at Filarverkstaden, you are part of the Central Maintenance section, which consists of several divisions. At Filarverkstaden, you work with renovation and mechanical maintenance of production equipment in heavy industry and its components. Examples include gearboxes, hoist drums, pumps, straightening equipment, etc. As a mechanic, you will also document completed work, spare parts consumption, and time spent in digital systems. You will collaborate with external suppliers and contractors. At SSAB, we work in a group-organized manner, which requires your ability to independently and in teams prepare and plan your own work. Your main responsibilities Mechanical maintenance and renovation of production equipment Root cause analysis Improvement work Blueprint reading Planning and preparation Hydraulics/pneumatics Disassembly and assembly of bearings Tolerance measurement About You We see that you have appropriate technical education at upper secondary school level or equivalent documented knowledge. A secondary or post-secondary education in maintenance is considered meritorious Previous work experience in maintenance is meritorious Good knowledge of both spoken and written Swedish and English is a requirement B-class driver's license is a requirement You have good collaboration skills You appreciate flexibility You have a sense of responsibility You have a good ability to take your own initiative You are communicative Our Offer We offer a wide range of valued benefits to our employees.
