Personal Care Assistant Substitute – Sporty Retired Male in Skarpnäck Are you a calm and empathetic person who wants to make a difference in someone's life? We are now seeking a substitute to support a retired male in Skarpnäck who is living with the effects of a stroke and vascular dementia. This retiree has always been interested in sports and spends considerable time with activities such as walks and exercise on a motomed. He also has a strong interest in sports, particularly football and ice hockey. It would be an advantage if you share this interest, but it is absolutely not a requirement. In your role as a substitute, you will help with daily care and create a safe and supportive environment for the user. Your tasks will include assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, dressing and undressing, meal preparation, and other household chores as needed. The user is wheelchair-dependent and needs your support in his daily routines. Double assistance is provided for all care and transfers with help from home care services. Since he has speech difficulties and cognitive limitations, it is important that you have the ability to understand his communication and help him express his needs. You will be a key person in his life and contribute to creating a safe and organized environment that allows him to continue living an active and satisfying life. The user has good hearing but is sensitive to noise, which means a calm and careful tone is crucial in communication. We are looking for someone in their 40s or older, with good Swedish in both speech and writing, and who is calm, patient, and warm in your interaction with people. You should be attentive and able to read situations to know when to be more active and when to stay in the background. Working independently and having a strong work ethic are important, and you should also understand the importance of personal integrity when working in someone's home. Experience and Qualifications Experience in care and support is meriting. You must speak good Swedish in both speech and writing. You have empathetic abilities and strong social commitment. You are attentive and can adapt to the user's needs. Personal Qualities Mature and responsible approach. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly. An understanding of the importance of quiet and calm in the home.
