We are seeking a qualified special education teacher/specialist who, together with us at Norra School, wants to drive and develop special education work. Just like us, you recognize the importance of working together on preventive and health-promoting measures early on.
Job Responsibilities
About the Position
Your assignment includes both investigative and developmental work with an emphasis on preventive and health-promoting measures. Together with your colleagues at the school, you create the best conditions for student learning and development. Through your role, you contribute to ensuring that our students who need special support receive individualized and inclusive treatment and measures that lead to increased goal achievement. You will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of a school nurse, counselor, special education teacher, and principal.
Your Tasks
Identify and assess students' need for special support
Develop and conduct pedagogical assessments and create action plans
Guide and support teachers in matters concerning special education and inclusive teaching
Develop and adapt learning environments to meet all students' needs
Collaborate with guardians, school leadership, and student health services
Be a trusted adult and role model for students
Qualifications
For this role, you must have:
Training as a special education teacher or equivalent pedagogical education.
Good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to apply them in your daily work.
The tools needed to meet students, guardians, and educators in a communicative and trustworthy manner.
It is also desirable if you have experience working in primary school (grades F-6).

As a person, you are development-oriented, positive, and have good communication skills and the ability to see the bigger picture. We greatly value your engagement, pedagogical competence, and mentoring ability.
We would like to see that you have a coaching approach and are organized and flexible. You work long-term, set goals, test and evaluate together with colleagues. It is valuable if you can analyze opportunities at the organizational level.
