As we implement this merger, we are building further on strong student wellbeing work and are now seeking a special education teacher who wants to help shape this work for both schools' students, from preschool class through grade 9. Responsibilities As a special education teacher with us, you have a central role in the student wellbeing team and are a close collaborative partner to teachers, work teams, and school leadership in creating an accessible learning environment for all students. Your role includes: Investigate and analyze – map and analyze students' need for support at organizational, group, and individual levels, and translate the analysis into concrete adaptations of instruction Coach colleagues – mentor and coach teachers on special education issues, extra accommodations, and targeted support, and contribute knowledge about, for example, reading and writing difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions, and language disorders Intervention plans – participate in developing, following up on, and evaluating intervention plans and pedagogical assessments in close collaboration with teachers and guardians Student wellbeing work – be a driving voice in the student wellbeing team and contribute to preventive and health-promoting work that is a natural part of the schools' systematic quality efforts Accessible learning environment – create an accessible learning environment that leverages the schools' cultural profile, so that aesthetic learning processes become a resource even for students with special needs Collaboration – collaborate with guardians, other student wellbeing professionals, and external partners such as social services, child and adolescent mental health services, and rehabilitation when student needs require it Development work – actively participate in developing routines and structures for student wellbeing in the new, merged organization What We Offer We offer you varied, responsible, and stimulating work with opportunities for personal development.
