Ref: 20261994 Malmö latinskola is seeking a special education teacher with strong commitment to student learning, health, and development. The position is a temporary assignment at 50% capacity during the fall term 2026 with immediate start date. Job Responsibilities The assignment includes work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. An important part of the role is to contribute to the development of accessible learning environments through coaching and support to teaching staff, as well as through targeted interventions for students and student groups. The work may also include teaching and support in smaller teaching groups, as well as individualized interventions for students requiring special support, including students studying compulsory school subjects at IMA. The assignment includes working towards a well-functioning student health program to support student development toward educational goals. The main responsibilities include: Assess student and group needs Analyze the school's work in relation to student learning Coach and educate teaching staff and student assistants Plan, implement, and evaluate interventions Coordinate handover procedures for students starting and leaving the school ActivelyParticipate in educational research and use and disseminate research findings and research methods to strengthen student learning Participate in school health teams Participate in the school's systematic quality assurance work Participate in the cross-administrative network for special education improvement work Document in Prorenata Qualifications Requirements: Preschool teacher, teacher, or youth educator degree plus supplementary education in special education (300 hp) Work experience with children and youth in school environments Experience working with children and youth with functional variations Familiarity with external contacts and collaboration with staff, students, guardians, habilitation services, BUP, Individual and Family Services Strong digital skills Good knowledge of school goals and governing documents Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing Meritorious: Strong experience collaborating with other authorities and participating in various networks. As a special education teacher, you handle complex issues and find sustainable pedagogical solutions. You have a strong understanding of how people learn and adapt your working methods to different needs. You are flexible, see opportunities in change, and use new information to develop instruction. Through a relational and inclusive approach, you build trust and collaboration with students, colleagues, and other professionals. You value diversity and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect yourself and others.
