With students' entire life perspective in focus, we create safety, independence, and lifelong skills. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS To meet future needs, we are now expanding our team! Together with two experienced special education colleagues, you will become a key person in our student support team and in the school's strategic development work. You work broadly across grades 1–9, with a role that spans from close student work to overarching organizational development. As a special education teacher with us, you work closely with school leadership and contribute strategically to the development of operations. You are responsible for driving and ensuring the quality of special education work through assessments, pedagogical investigations, and intervention programs, and ensure that teaching is adapted and challenges students based on their conditions. A central part of the role is to create a clear thread between school, after-school care, and short-term supervision (KTS) for students over 12 years old. Together with the services, you develop structures, clear working methods, and low-arousal approaches that contribute to safety, participation, and continuity throughout the student's day. You mentor and support teachers, student assistants, and other staff in meeting complex needs, from intellectual disabilities and NPF to unusual diagnoses and rare health conditions. You are also responsible for establishing and maintaining good collaboration with guardians, BUP, BUH, and other external actors to ensure the best possible conditions for each student's development. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a special education teacher and want to be part of developing an adapted primary school where students' learning and development are in focus. You are a confident and engaged educator with the ability to combine special education expertise with a warm and unpretentious approach. You create structure in complex situations, feel confident in difficult conversations, and have a genuine interest in supporting both students and colleagues. For this position, you must have: • degree and license as a special education teacher • documented experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, NPF, and other complex needs • experience mentoring and developing pedagogical staff, both individually and in groups • good knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to translate research and proven experience into practice It is advantageous if you have: • experience leading processes around accessible learning environments, assessments, pedagogical investigations, and intervention programs • experience collaborating with guardians, BUP, BUH, and other actors in health care As a person, you are organized, communicative, and confident in your professional role.
