We are seeking a Special Education Teacher for the Själevads school area with a focus on our F-3 units! The school area consists of the units Själevadskolan, Haffstaskolan, and Mycklingskolan.
If you are new to your profession, Örnsköldsviks municipality offers an introductory program for new teachers where you will have a mentor during your first year. Your mentor is an experienced colleague with the same qualification who can guide and support you.
Job Responsibilities
As a Special Education Teacher in the school area, you will work together with special teachers and teaching teams to plan interventions/support/adaptations for students, such as learning environment, assessment at group and individual levels in accordance with the special education teacher's, special teacher's, and educator's assignments. Coaching and training/professional development for teachers are also part of the responsibilities. The role will include results tracking and assessment at individual, group, and school levels.
You should be attentive, flexible, committed, and creative to help students develop to their full potential. Additionally, we appreciate strong communication skills, as contact and cooperation with guardians is an important part of the work.
To succeed in the role of Special Education Teacher, you have a pedagogical education and experience working with students with various types of special needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with special education teacher and/or special teacher education with experience in special education assignments. You hold subject qualification and teaching certification for instruction in primary school. A valid B-level driver's license and access to your own vehicle are required.
