The newly built Hjortsbergskolan for grades 7-9 is centrally located in Ljungby with green spaces nearby and in close proximity to a preschool-grade 6 school and after-school center. We also have access to a sports hall. The new grades 7-9 school has its own kitchen, cafeteria, and five home base classrooms. The school is designed to accommodate 5 parallel classes with up to 375 students, but will start with 4 parallel classes from autumn 2024. DUTIES We are looking for someone who wants to teach Swedish and work as a special education teacher in grades 7-9 at Hjortsbergskolan. As a special education teacher, you will plan, conduct, and follow up on instruction. You will work both in the classroom and with students in small groups and individual instruction. Mentoring is part of the position. Another subject combination, such as French or home and consumer studies, may also be relevant. QUALIFICATIONS You should ideally be trained as a special education teacher for grades 7-9 and hold teacher certification. However, we also welcome applicants with other qualifications or experience. Great emphasis is placed on collaboration skills and the ability to work with students both in groups and individually.
