Your role with us As a special education teacher, you work with in-depth knowledge of reading, writing and language development, and mathematical development with a focus on the individual level. You use special education methods to plan, prepare and conduct instruction and support students based on their specific difficulties. You conduct and document assessments, investigations and various forms of educational tests aimed at increasing understanding of students' learning difficulties. As a special education teacher, you also contribute your expertise to work with educational investigations, adjustments and intervention programs. You work to remove barriers and difficulties in the learning environment, develop alternative learning environments and learning tools. Issues concerning inclusion and values are a natural part of your daily work. Your role includes creating relationships both internally and externally characterized by mutual respect and trust, and you meet students where they are. You are a qualified conversation partner on issues related to children and students' language and mathematical development in team work and student support meetings. You meet students with high expectations and engage, enthuse and stimulate them toward learning and personal responsibility. You lead and organize work to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation. You systematically reflect on and evaluate practical work individually and together with others. Your duties also include planning, prioritizing and taking responsibility for your own time and development. Who are we looking for? You hold teacher certification with authorization to teach as a special education teacher with specific support in grades F-6 in primary school. You also need teacher certification with authorization to teach Swedish/SvA and mathematics in grades F-6 in primary school. The position requires that you have 3 years of well-documented work experience with teaching in the school system and experience teaching in grades F-6 in primary school. You are well familiar with and can live up to the professional ethical principles for teachers. We want you to be able to implement the school's mission regarding students in need of special support and have the ability to adapt working methods and approaches to different groups' and individuals' conditions. You easily systematically reflect on and evaluate practical work both individually and with others. Of course, you are well familiar with current pedagogical and didactic research and can implement your in-depth knowledge of reading, writing and language development or alternatively mathematical development in everyday practice. We want you to have good knowledge of and ability to work according to applicable governing documents. Good knowledge of alternative learning tools is required for this role, and if you additionally have extensive experience with digital compensatory alternative learning tools and can integrate these into instruction, that is a merit. You can exercise situation-adapted learning and leadership based on putting yourself in students' situations and values and meeting them where they are. You create relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust and can engage, enthuse, stimulate and strengthen students toward learning and personal responsibility. We want you to be good at documenting in a structured manner and with high quality. You can plan and prioritize your work time both in the short and long term. We would like to see that you can use digital technology as a tool in instruction. For us to assess your application, you must attach your diploma and teacher certification. About us Viby School is located just outside Kristianstad in the charming Viby area with proximity to farms and nature. Approximately 130 students attend, distributed across grades F-6. At the school we work for early interventions and have just begun working systematically with assessments and action plans at the group level. The school's development organization consists of two lead teachers at the school, a key person in after-school care and the student support team. We collaborate with several other schools in the municipality. Our students have good results and high attendance.
