Description Slottsbergsskolan is seeking a special education teacher for a permanent full-time position. This is a vacation-relief position. Does that sound interesting? Keep reading! Our school opened in the fall of 2020 and has grown by one grade level each year. From fall 2026, we will be a fully developed F-6 school. There is a pioneering spirit that permeates our operations where we learn and develop together. We work with grade levels that are then divided into smaller groups based on student needs and the spaces the grade level uses in its hub. We have many different rooms and group rooms available in each hub. Slottsbergsskolan also has access to a gymnasium, school library, craft rooms, and a creative workspace. Our meals are prepared on-site in the school restaurant, and the school is located near the Ruddalen outdoor recreation area. At Slottsbergsskolan, the student is in focus and all staff work together to build a shared values foundation and school culture based on a salutogenic perspective. Job Responsibilities To succeed as a special education teacher with us, you need to be able to conduct instruction independently, both in groups and with individual students. You will work with students who have extensive support needs during the school day to strengthen their learning development. As part of the school's student support team, you contribute your special education expertise. You will collaborate with special education coordinators and other special education teachers. Your role also includes assisting in various assessment processes at both group and individual levels, and interpreting these results to work with classroom teachers to develop instruction at Slottsbergsskolan. Qualifications We are looking for someone who holds a teaching license and a special education teacher certificate with specialization in language, reading and writing, and/or mathematics. We would appreciate it if you have the qualifications to teach mathematics and Swedish for grades 1–6. We also want you to have experience with the following: • Working with multilingualism • Working in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area • Conducting assessments and pedagogical evaluations • Working in a student support team • Working with and having knowledge of LegiLexi and other assessment materials • Working with students with language disorders and NPF • Contacting external stakeholders • Leading meetings and coaching staff As a person, you are independent and take responsibility for your work. You are flexible and can adapt to different situations and needs. You communicate clearly and create structure and security in your role. At the same time, you are creative and contribute new ideas and solutions. You have knowledge of and a commitment to students in need of special support. You have well-developed collaboration skills and enjoy working with colleagues and students. Furthermore, you have a good approach and knowledge of supportive strategies for students in need of special support. Welcome to submit your application!
