Jernvallsskolan is located in southern Sandviken, next to Jernvallen and Göransson Arena where the school has its sports activities. DUTIES We are looking for a special education teacher who easily captures students' curiosity and desire to learn and has the ability to build good relationships. As a special education teacher, you work closely with students and teachers to increase goal achievement. You use pedagogical strategies to meet students' needs and strengthen their knowledge acquisition. For the most part, you work in a special instruction group, but work across grades 4-6 is also part of the position. You contribute by: • Teaching students individually and in small groups • Conducting assessments and screenings together with student health services • Following up on students' development toward goals and analyzing instruction • Collaborating with the assistant principal in systematic quality work • Building good relationships with students and colleagues We make each other better by: • Sharing knowledge and experience in the team • Working together for students' best interests • Supporting each other in developing instruction QUALIFICATIONS To succeed in the role of special education teacher, it is important to have pedagogical insight and understanding of how people learn and what different conditions exist. The role requires flexibility and the ability to see opportunities in changes. Close collaboration with colleagues is central, as is the ability to analyze and solve complex pedagogical challenges. We are looking for someone with genuine commitment to student learning and who enjoys working in a team. The ability to create good relationships and communicate in a responsive way is crucial. You also need to have an analytical eye to identify needs and develop solutions that strengthen instruction. The assignment requires: • Special education teacher certification • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Good knowledge of the primary school's governing documents We would like to see that you have a focus on mathematics in your education. It is also advantageous to have good digital skills and experience using digital tools.
