Ekbergaskolan adapted primary school is now seeking a special education teacher who wants to help shape the future for our students. Your Responsibilities As a special education teacher at Ekbergaskolan, you have overall responsibility for the content and methods of instruction for students. You assess learning, identify areas for development, and design instruction that is accessible, structured, and motivating. Teaching takes place both individually and in small groups, with a focus on inspiring motivation, building independence, and developing students' strengths and interests. We take a holistic perspective on each student's day and utilize the expertise of various professional groups around each student, such as preschool teachers, teaching assistants, and childcare workers. Each week, teachers in the adapted primary school meet to plan instruction, share knowledge and ideas, and develop professionally. Your Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a certified teacher with authorization to teach in primary school and further education as a special education teacher. We would appreciate experience working as a special education teacher or within an adapted primary school. You have good computer skills and knowledge of using other digital tools, as well as strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. You have a health-promoting and relational approach to your work and always put the student's needs at the center. You have the ability to work both independently and in groups and are flexible and adaptable to the needs of the operation. In your role as a special education teacher, you need strong collaboration skills, as you work closely with school pedagogues, the student welfare team (EHT), guardians, and other stakeholders. You have clear and structured classroom leadership and are receptive to feedback. We practice collaborative learning and our classrooms are equipped with smartboards and iPads from preschool through grade 6.
