JOB DUTIES Adapted Elementary School, Gunnarsbyskolan Do you want to help create the best conditions for students with intellectual disabilities to develop, learn, and succeed based on their individual capabilities? We are seeking you to make a real difference for students in adapted elementary school by creating accessible, inclusive, and developmental learning environments. As a special educator specializing in intellectual disabilities, you have a key role in supporting students' knowledge development, independence, and participation in the school's social and pedagogical contexts. As a special educator specializing in intellectual disabilities, you work to create the best possible conditions for students' learning, development, and participation based on their individual needs and capabilities. The assignment involves using a scientific and special education approach to identify, analyze, and remove obstacles in the school environment and develop instruction and learning environments that promote students' development toward educational goals. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up instruction for students enrolled in adapted elementary school. You work with individualized approaches and support structures that strengthen students' communication, knowledge development, independence, and opportunities for active participation in the school's activities. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking you who: hold teacher certification with credentials for the relevant school form have a special education degree specializing in intellectual disabilities or are currently pursuing education in the special education program with this specialization have experience teaching and working with children and students in need of special support have good knowledge of the governing documents for adapted elementary school have the ability to independently conduct pedagogical analyses, assessments, and evaluations have good knowledge of accessible learning environments, special education approaches, and adapted instruction have good ability to document, follow up, and evaluate support measures express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing Competency Profile To succeed in this assignment, you have a strong commitment to students' development and an inclusive perspective where each student's strengths and possibilities are central.
