Kålgårdens adapted primary school needs to expand our team with a special education teacher qualified to teach in subject areas/subjects. Welcome to Us We are looking for you with experience working in adapted primary school. You will have a key role in developing pedagogical work to meet students' different needs and shape their individual learning methods. You need to be well familiar with the curriculum for adapted primary school and be able to implement it in teaching practice. Your focus should be on the core assignment, i.e., students' learning and development toward the goals. The school has 10 classes during the academic year, and the classes are small, currently approximately five students in each class. The students have significant support needs, which means each class has a wonderful group of knowledgeable and engaged teaching assistants. Your Competence We are primarily looking for you who are trained as a special education teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities. You must have teacher certification in preschool or primary school for younger ages. You have knowledge and experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and sign-based alternative and augmentative communication (SAAC), as well as knowledge and experience with students with various disabilities. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of NPF/Autism and experience from adapted school. Basic IT competence is a requirement, and you use ICT as a natural part of your teaching. We place great importance on taking responsibility for relevant professional development to grow and develop in the profession together with colleagues. Personal suitability is of great importance.
