Your responsibilities
As a special education teacher in mathematics at Klaraskolan, you will contribute your specific expertise to the pedagogical work and collaborate with our special education coordinator. Together, you will form a strong special education team.
You will work at both group and individual levels, teaching students in smaller groups or one-on-one.
You will collaborate with teachers and various student support professionals in preventive, health-promoting, and intervention work.
In your role, you are responsible for screening and assessing students' needs for specialized support in mathematics. You will analyze student results together with teachers and propose interventions to meet students' needs at both group and individual levels. You will work with strategies and structures that support preventive and developmental efforts, and through high expectations and a positive belief that everyone can succeed, you will contribute to student learning progression.
We are looking for someone who wants to work closely with teachers on classroom instruction. You will participate in discussions about pedagogical and didactic questions and methods, and feel confident in your role as a mentor.
Together with students, guardians, pedagogical staff, and other collaborative partners, you will create favorable conditions for students to succeed.
Your qualifications
Certified special education teacher with teacher certification in mathematics, preferably with experience from middle school.
