Olovslundskolan is a preschool through grade 6 school with approximately 600 students, located in western Jakobsberg. The school also has an adapted elementary school for students in grades 1-6. DUTIES As a special education teacher at Olovslundskolan, you have an important role in the school's work toward increased goal achievement and an accessible learning environment for all students. You work preventively, promotively, and interventively to support students' language, writing, and reading development. You work closely with teachers, student support services, and school leadership to early identify needs, analyze results, and plan interventions that make a difference for student learning. You conduct assessments and pedagogical evaluations, plan and implement special education interventions, and contribute guidance and coaching to teachers. You are an important part of the school's student support team and actively participate in the school's systematic quality work with a focus on developing instruction and increasing student goal achievement. Your duties include, among other things: • Conduct assessments, analyses, and follow-up of students' language, writing, and reading development • Plan and implement specialized instruction individually and in groups • Guide and support teachers in work with accessible learning environments and accommodations • Contribute to developing the school's language-development working methods • Collaborate with guardians, student support services, and external partners as needed • Participate in the school's systematic quality work and development initiatives QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a special education teacher degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development or alternatively a focus on language disorders. It is an advantage if you have: • Experience working as a special education teacher in elementary school grades preschool-6 • Good knowledge of autism spectrum condition and other neuropsychological functional limitations • Experience developing accessible learning environments and working methods that strengthen students' ability to succeed in school • Experience with pedagogical evaluations, assessments, and analyses of students' need for special support • Experience with language disorders Your Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is a confident and professional special education teacher with strong commitment to student learning and development.
