About the position At the Head and Neck Clinic, we investigate and treat patients of all ages with malignant and benign conditions in the nose, sinuses, mouth, and throat, with special focus on tumor surgery in otolaryngology. As a specialist nurse with us, you become part of a hub for counseling and support to colleagues and patients regarding airway care. You also participate in improvement work, development of guidelines, and the training programs that the tracheostomy nurse group conducts. The assignment may also include work as a clinic nurse with tasks such as: - Information about care plan and upcoming steps in treatment - Enrollment before surgery - Assistance with outpatient procedures and clinic visits - Support to patients and family in crisis reactions - Telephone counseling via TeleQ and Alltid öppet, as well as coordination with other professionals We document in the Take Care medical record system. You will be part of a well-functioning team with clinic nurses, contact nurses, surgery planners, physicians, nursing assistants, and tracheostomy nurses. We're looking for you who: - Are confident in your professional role, engaged, and have the patient in focus - Are responsible, solution-oriented, and have good collaboration skills - Communicate clearly, listen carefully, and maintain a realistic perspective - Are flexible, independent, and enjoy both teamwork and development projects - Have a pedagogical and coaching approach. Are confident in conducting both individual sessions and group training (self-care, management, safety, alarm and action plans) and adapt content to the recipient's needs Qualifications Requirements: - Licensed nurse with specialist education in oncology, intensive care, surgical care, or acute care. Other specialist education that the employer deems relevant may also be applicable - At least five years of experience in acute care, surgical care, and/or oncology - Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meritorious: - Experience working in otolaryngology - Experience with tracheostomized/laryngectomized patients - Supervisor training 7.5hp - Clinic work and telephone counseling (TeleQ) About the recruitment process Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
