Adult Psychiatry in Gästrikland is part of specialist psychiatry within Region Gävleborg and provides both outpatient and inpatient care in Gävle and Sandviken. We meet patients with a broad spectrum of psychiatric conditions and work in a multidisciplinary manner with a focus on good, safe, and evidence-based care. The position can be located in Gävle or Sandviken and offers the opportunity to work in outpatient care, inpatient care, or a combination of these. We also offer the possibility of hybrid work where parts of the work can be performed digitally, while physical presence is an important part of the role. 1 position(s). DUTIES As a specialist physician with us, you will work with assessment, treatment, and follow-up of patients in specialist psychiatry. The work is done in close collaboration with other physicians and other professions such as psychologists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists. Depending on your experience and the needs of the service, there is an opportunity to work in outpatient care, inpatient care, or a combination of these. The position may also include both in-person and digital patient work. As a specialist physician, you play an important role in medical work and also contribute to mentoring residents, trainees, and other colleagues. There is also an opportunity to engage in service development, education, and other areas based on interest and experience. You work independently in your physician role but at the same time value collaboration with other physicians and professions. We would like to see that you are confident in your medical assessments, have a good manner with patients, and contribute to an open and respectful work environment. The ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and share knowledge is important in this role. As a specialist physician with us, you must have • Swedish physician license • specialist competence in psychiatry • clinical experience in psychiatric work. It is meritorious if you have experience in one or more of the following areas • psychiatric outpatient or inpatient care • acute psychiatry and on-call work • mentoring of junior physicians • service development, medical leadership, or research.
