In Internal Medicine, we offer outpatient and inpatient care in pulmonology, stroke, nephrology, hematology, gastroenterology, and endocrinology. We are a well-functioning operation characterized by broad expertise and a strong team of specialist physicians and resident physicians. The acute section includes an intermediate care unit (IMA), a medical acute care unit (MAVA), and on-call duty coverage at the emergency department. We encounter a wide spectrum of patients and our care makes a real difference for each individual. Our acute section is in an expansion phase, with the intermediate care unit (IMA) growing and a new on-call physician function recently established. In addition to IMA, the acute section also includes the medical acute care unit (MAVA) as well as on-call duty at the emergency department. Here we encounter a broad and complex spectrum of patients daily, where our medical expertise makes a critical difference for the individual. RESPONSIBILITIES As a specialist physician with us, you will have a central and stimulating role in a dynamic clinical setting. You will encounter patients with a broad spectrum of internal medicine conditions, making your work varied, developmental, and stimulating while requiring both breadth and depth in your medical assessment. As a specialist physician, you play an important role in daily operations where you contribute to safe, structured, and high-quality care. You will be involved in developing and improving our care pathways and contribute your medical expertise to maintain high-quality patient care. You will work in close collaboration with experienced nurses, nursing assistants, and resident physicians (BT, AT, and ST) in an engaged and competent team. Collaboration across professional and unit boundaries is a natural part of the work and an important prerequisite for creating the best possible care for our patients. As a specialist physician with us, you will • assess, treat, and follow up patients in IMA and MAVA • serve as on-call physician or attending physician • participate in the clinic's ongoing quality work, with particular focus on optimizing care pathways and ensuring an efficient and patient-safe care environment • supervise and support resident physicians (BT, AT, and ST) in their clinical work. You have a good understanding of how different parts of the operation fit together—you understand how the clinic's different units interact—and are decisive enough to act in the best interest of the operation even when clinical conditions are complex. By considering different perspectives and consequences, you make decisions and act in the best interest of the operation. Furthermore, you demonstrate the ability to make well-founded decisions even when conditions are not entirely predetermined. You take responsibility for your medical decisions, drive development issues forward, and ensure that work leads to concrete results. For this position, we require • Medical licensure with a specialist certificate in Internal Medicine or Acute Care Medicine. Experience in relevant acute care or intermediate care is considered advantageous.
