About us Uppsala Närakut is a modern general practice clinic with a broad mandate. Here we meet patients of all ages – from children to the elderly – with acute problems that cannot wait until the next day.
We work in interdisciplinary teams where general medicine, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and psychosocial support collaborate. The clinic has X-ray facilities, orthopedic specialists, and a social worker, which allows us to offer integrated care for patients.
Each year we receive a large number of patients, and approximately one third are under 18 years old.
Our daily work is characterized by commitment, collaboration, and a desire to constantly develop. We have short decision-making processes and great opportunities to influence how we work – together.
The Role As a general specialist with us, you work with clinic activities in a team together with nurses, nursing assistants, and a social worker. You meet patients with varying acute conditions and get to use your full medical expertise.
The role also includes a medical leadership responsibility (MLA), where you become part of the management group and contribute to the development of the operation. Here you have the opportunity to influence working methods, processes, and workflows and drive improvements in close collaboration with colleagues and external partners such as Region Uppsala and Akademiska Hospital.
Work is mainly conducted during daytime hours, but variation in working hours may occur as the clinic is open every day of the year from 07:00–23:00.

About You
Requirements:
Specialist doctor in general medicine, emergency medicine, orthopedics, internal medicine, or surgery.
Experience with clinic work in primary care
Good ability to work independently and in a team
Merits:

You are confident in your professional role and enjoy working with acute patient encounters. At the same time, you have an interest in developing operations and working methods.
