Åtvidaberg Health Center is facing a generational transition and we are now seeking a specialist physician in general practice who wants to be part of building up the operations at the health center.
Our Offer
The Health Center, which is part of Primary Care Center in Region Östergötland, is the only one in Åtvidaberg municipality with approximately 11,500 residents, where most are registered with us. Åtvidaberg Health Center is a health center in a rural area, heading out toward the east coast with proximity to Linköping and commuting distance also to Norrköping. Here you have the opportunity to develop broad and varied work. Since there is distance to Region Östergötland's acute care, the health center functions as a rural emergency unit for residents in the area.
The Health Center thus conducts a broad primary care operation consisting of everything from acute care to the municipality's elderly housing. There is good collaboration with the municipality, the social insurance agency and the employment service. Collaboration also takes place with the university hospital and the medical faculty in Linköping

Job Description
We offer varied and stimulating work with physician consultations, home care services and elderly housing facilities. Supervision of students and trainee physicians is an important part of the work. Likewise, engagement in the health center's development and quality work.
As a specialist physician in general practice at the health center, you will have a limited patient list that requires continuous physician contact. At the health center, work in on-call teams is sought where a nurse and a physician work closely together with patients. At the health center, assistant physicians, physicians and ST-physicians are employed, as well as several senior specialists in general practice employed part-time for consultation. There is great commitment and willingness from the senior specialist physicians to support and hand over the operations to a younger generation.
Work Group
Approximately 45 employees work within the health center and the atmosphere is characterized by good well-being and a good collaborative climate. We conduct a broad primary care operation where we meet patients of all ages with various symptoms.
About You
We are primarily looking for you who are a specialist in general practice but most importantly that you have a genuine interest in primary care. Experience in primary care is meritorious but you can be a specialist in a related specialty such as internal medicine, geriatrics with an interest in general practice which the employer assesses as equivalent.
As you work in constant dialogue with patients, relatives, colleagues and other operations, it is a requirement that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
You contribute to a good work environment and have a positive and professional approach to patients and colleagues. You plan, organize and prioritize your work efficiently and take responsibility for your task. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
