We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in child and adolescent psychiatry and who share our interest in conducting development-oriented evidence-based child and adolescent psychiatry. If you have an interest and/or experience in research, there are good opportunities to conduct practice-related research. We have a large and active research group led by our professor in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Our Operations BUP provides specialized psychiatric healthcare for persons 0–18 years in Uppsala County and national highly specialized care for severe eating disorders. BUP Region Uppsala consists of BUP Start, a centralized intake unit that performs comprehensive child psychiatric assessment, diagnostics and psychopedagogical basic treatment for all new patients in the county, treatment clinics where the majority of outpatient treatment takes place, enhanced outpatient care, Team Maria with investigation assignments regarding substance abuse, eating disorder unit, acute care clinic and a 24-hour inpatient ward. Most of the care is provided in Uppsala; we also have a treatment clinic in Enköping. About the Operations The Gender Identity Clinic at Akademiska Hospital has, together with Region Stockholm, been tasked with providing national highly specialized care for certain care in gender dysphoria. The clinic is an age-spanning specialist operation that receives patients of all ages for assessment, investigation and treatment of suspected gender dysphoria. Many of the individuals seeking care have a desire for gender-affirming treatment. Investigations are conducted according to a clear and structured process. Medical treatment is carried out in close collaboration with other operations within Akademiska Hospital and Region Stockholm. The Gender Identity Clinic consists of two teams, one for adults and one for children and young people. The operations are conducted in an interprofessional manner and include physicians, psychologists, social workers, care coordinator and medical secretaries. The child and adolescent team works in accordance with the National Board of Health and Welfare's knowledge support and recommendations for the care of children and young people with gender dysphoria. Your Assignment As a specialist physician at the Gender Identity Clinic, you will conduct investigations and follow-ups in close collaboration with other professionals in the team. The position can be combined with work at another clinic, with a work degree of at least 50 percent at the Gender Identity Clinic. You will also be part of the on-call rotation together with the other specialist physicians in the operations. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a specialist physician in child and adolescent psychiatry. Research and teaching experience is a merit.
