About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating existing ones, and expanding, and we are now looking for more staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand facilities, and prisoner transport. The position is placed within the Analysis and Coordination section, which is part of the Planning Unit in the Security Department. The section is responsible for developing, within the framework of the agency's management and monitoring model, methods and models for monitoring, analysis, and planning of security work. The section is responsible for coordination within the department and distribution of incoming requests/referrals, as well as for the department's email and mail handling and record-keeping. The section is also responsible for extracting and conducting national analyses of reported incidents in the incident reporting system. Within the section also lies the administrative responsibility for some of the Security Department's IT systems. Job Description As a specialist, your task is to serve as an object specialist in the incident reporting system ISAP. This means that you are primarily responsible for managing the designated system support and its components so that the system meets the needs of operations, for example by establishing requirements, developing, ensuring quality, and providing training in the system. The role receives and compiles needs, prioritizes within the area of responsibility, and for larger changes proposes prioritization, coordinates refinement and change activities and resources related to maintenance work. The work takes place in close collaboration with the management leader. The position also includes preparing various types of materials for the department, agency management, and upon request for public disclosure. The work is characterized by collaboration with colleagues within the department, with other departments, regions, and external parties. Handling of referrals and other requests to the Security Department is also part of the work, as is other work that the Planning Manager deems appropriate within the security area. As a specialist, you also participate in revisions of the security manual. Qualifications We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, but who can also structure and drive independent assignments. You plan, organize, and prioritize work in an efficient manner. Furthermore, you think strategically and have a broad perspective on issues. You also adapt easily to changed circumstances and can quickly shift your perspective and approach. We are looking for someone who has: Academic education/degree of at least 120 ECTS credits equivalent to two years of university/college studies in areas that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service finds relevant Experience with the incident management system ISAP Experience in gathering information, processing relevant information, and drawing conclusions Experience in driving, leading, and maintaining processes with multiple actors Experience in collaborations at different organizational levels Ability to independently conduct analyses and write reports Very good data skills and a great understanding of the importance of secure information handling Good knowledge of government management and governance Very strong ability to express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish Good ability to express yourself well verbally and in writing in English It is also advantageous to have: Training within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's operations Experience with security and confidentiality issues Experience in project management or other equivalent leadership assignments Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the cover letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
