Piteå Health Center has approximately 10,100 registered patients and is one of Region Norrbotten's largest health centers.
Today our physician group consists of several specialists in general medicine as well as four ST, BT, and AT physicians. We are now seeking additional specialists who want to be part of continuing to develop stable and sustainable physician staffing.
The goal is to create good continuity for patients while continuing to strengthen the work environment for the physician group.
About the Physician Group
For several years we have worked on building a stable physician group and today have a good foundation to stand on. With eight specialists and four physicians in training, there are good opportunities for collegial support, medical discussions, and mentoring.
Now we want to strengthen the group further to:
Increase continuity for our patients
Create even better conditions for permanent physicians
Provide opportunities for development work and mentoring
Continue building a sustainable work environment for the physician group
We are therefore seeking you who want to be part of influencing how the operation develops.
We are Looking For
We are seeking you as a licensed physician with a specialist certificate in general medicine. You have very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing, corresponding to at least level C1. The position also requires good computer skills and a valid B driving license.
It is meritious if you have experience working in primary care and with the Cosmic medical records system. We would also like to see that you have experience mentoring students as well as AT, BT, or ST physicians. Dual specialist competence is meritious, as is other experience and competencies that the employer deems relevant for the position.
We place great importance on personal qualities. You have a good overall perspective, are structured in your approach, and have well-developed collaboration skills. You contribute to a good work climate and work solution-oriented with the operation's and patient's best interests in focus.
What You Will Work With
As a specialist in general medicine you work with:
Scheduled and acute patient visits
Medical assessments and investigations
Follow-up of patients with chronic diseases
Rounds at nursing homes and special housing facilities
Mentoring of ST, BT, and AT physicians
Collaboration with other professions at the health center
Participation in development and improvement work
We work in three interprofessional teams where physicians, nurses, district nurses, nursing assistants, rehabilitation staff, and psychosocial staff together care for their patients. The teams work closely together through regular team rounds where patient matters are planned and followed up jointly.

Information About the Position
The position is a permanent full-time employment, working hours 08.00 - 17.00. Start date by agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
