A court social worker provides expert support to judges in handling cases of individuals in difficult life situations. They help vulnerable court participants (e.g., children, seniors, individuals with mental illness) better navigate the court process, ensure contact with specialists, and contribute to preparing documentation for court decisions.
Required education: Master's degree in Social Work.
Requirements include knowledge of relevant legislation, advanced social work methods (e.g., systemic model, narrative model, basic mediation and facilitation techniques, crisis intervention), understanding of problem-solving justice principles, interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based approaches, and trauma-informed practice.
Required user-level computer skills (Word, Excel, internet, email, legal systems). Probationary period of 4 months; employment initially on a fixed-term basis, with possibility of extension later. We require moral and criminal integrity, appropriate conduct, and ability to work with high dedication, communication skills with people, reliability, and attention to detail. Salary depends on any previous experience in social work. Start date ideally October 1, 2026, but later dates are possible.
