Seeking an Assistant Immediately for 15-Year-Old Girl

Alma Assistans is a dedicated company that works in collaboration with clients to create personalized assistance services. We work closely with our clients and understand that strong relationships are key to effective assistance. We operate throughout Sweden with offices in Uppsala, Jönköping, Ulricehamn, Malmö, Helsingborg, and Växjö. I need an assistant right away for 6 weeks going forward. There is also the possibility to work as an hourly substitute thereafter. We are looking for someone with a pedagogical approach who wants to work with a 15-year-old girl at school and at home. The job involves being the girl's support in all everyday situations. The girl is cheerful and energetic, with her own opinions. She has multiple disabilities and is learning to walk and communicate through pictures and sign language. She loves school, especially her friends, sports, and when Mrs. Alfabeta visits. At school, she needs someone who can help her engage with instruction in an interactive and playful way so she learns best. At home, she enjoys going out in nature to look at animals or vehicles, playing around a lot, and never turns down jumping on the trampoline or swinging. She loves listening to you read or singing together. Working with the iPad is another favorite. She is tube-fed, receives inhalations, and sometimes needs oxygen at night when needed. You will have the opportunity to see both yourself and the girl develop, and we can offer competitive compensation to the right person. Requirements • Ability to master and understand Swedish language both spoken and written • Good initiative and ability to work independently • Physical ability to assist with transfers, such as in and out of wheelchair (assistive devices available) • Criminal records extract for working with children with disabilities will be requested *Female applicants only Meritorious • Creativity and ability to read and adapt to different situations • Driver's license and access to a car, as the family lives approximately 1.5 mil from Uppsala with limited bus connections during work hours and several km from the nearest bus stop • Experience working with children with disabilities • Experience with pedagogical work or education in pedagogy
