Software Verification Engineer

About the Role You will become part of a cross-functional project team and contribute across the entire chain for new MedTech products. Responsibilities Participate in the design and development of new medical device products. Develop software requirements and specifications based on product requirements, standards, and risk analysis. Plan, execute, document, and report on software verification. Test and evaluate embedded software for function, performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Integrate and verify software developed by other engineers. Contribute to system-wide risk analysis and product verification. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including FDA, MDR, and ISO. Participate in technical design reviews and keep product and project documentation up to date. Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and operations as needed. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software development, or equivalent. Experience with embedded software and testing in electromechanical systems. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS). Experience with test automation and scripting. Practical experience troubleshooting and debugging embedded software. Understanding of software verification in a regulated product environment. Knowledge of medical device standards, such as IEC 62304 and IEC 60601-1. Familiarity with modern test strategies, tools, and methodologies. Good understanding of product safety and risk management. Personal Qualities Strong collaboration and communication skills. Structured and quality-conscious. Comfortable working with both internal teams and external parties. Professional handling of confidential information. Other Information This is a consulting assignment via NDP. Placement is on-site in Malmö. International travel may occur.
