At the psychiatric clinic in Sandviken, psychologists, nurses, care workers, occupational therapists, rehabilitation coordinators, social workers/counselors, physicians, and medical secretaries work together. We are approximately 40 employees. The clinic provides specialized level services for all psychiatric conditions such as affective disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, and ADHD. The Sandviken psychiatric clinic serves three municipalities: Sandviken, Hofors, and Ockelbo, covering approximately 55,000 residents. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a social worker/counselor in adult psychiatry, you will bring the psychosocial perspective to teamwork around patients. You will be part of the clinic's diagnostic and treatment teams. Social workers/counselors at the clinic are represented in these teams while also collaborating with each other for advanced social work within specialized psychiatry. In daily work, you will also participate in the clinic's and department's improvement initiatives. This means real opportunities to be involved in developing care at the clinic. As part of your role, you may work with colleagues to lead well-appreciated information meetings for groups of patients and relatives, known as psychoeducational intervention (PPI), which the clinic offers to several psychiatric target groups. If you are ambitious and wish to develop within your profession, there are various career paths available, such as becoming a Level-1 therapist. As a social worker/counselor, you will work with • coordinating services and collaborating with other care providers around the patient • support conversations addressing psychosocial burden factors, noting children's needs, family support, and conducting psychosocial assessments • conducting childhood histories within the diagnostic team. You should have a strong ability to build meaningful relationships with patients, relatives, and collaborating partners. The ability to work independently as well as with other professional categories is an important success factor. In the role of social worker/counselor, you should • be educated as a social worker. For this position, it is meritorious if you are a licensed health and social care counselor, have basic psychotherapy training, CBT, or experience with administrative functions and/or social assistance casework.
