Within the public administration, social workers, occupational therapists, coordinators, unit managers and administrators work closely together. Through good collaboration, we create security and quality for those we serve. We handle services according to the Social Services Act, such as home care, specialized housing, short-term accommodation and emergency alarms. Our approach is a rehabilitative method that strengthens the individual's own resources. We are located in centrally situated premises at Lindövägen 5A, with good transportation connections. Your responsibilities As a social worker you will investigate applications for support and assistance and assess what services a person is entitled to based on legislation and applicable guidelines. You will conduct needs assessments and make decisions about services to ensure that the individual receives an adequate standard of living. In your work you will have close contact with service users, relatives and various collaborative partners both within and outside the municipality. You will guide and support the individual throughout the process to ensure that the right support is provided at the right time. The positions have different focuses. One social worker position works with people who are applying for services for the first time. The other position works with people who are receiving care in hospital and who need support or services from the municipality after discharge, within the so-called hospital discharge process. Who are you? We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another behavioral science degree including at least 7.5 credits in social law. You have good knowledge of the Social Services Act (SoL) and experience in social work where you have met people in vulnerable situations. You also have experience in public administration within elderly care. As a person you are attentive, empathetic and have a genuine commitment to helping others. You adapt your communication to the recipient and ensure that your message gets through. You work in a structured and independent manner, with good ability to plan and drive your cases forward. You make well-founded decisions and express yourself clearly in documentation. In collaboration with others you contribute with a positive attitude and are happy to share your knowledge and experience. You also have the ability to stay calm, be flexible, prioritize and make wise decisions even in pressured situations. The position requires good computer skills and good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. A class B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement, and you need to feel comfortable driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
